Kéroul launches AccessiB – The Open Road 2007-2008, the ideal tourist guide for travellers with restricted physical ability May 14th 2007

AccessiB - The Open Road - Brochure's coverBuilding on the success of the first edition of its guide AccessiB - The Open Road, Kéroul is proud to offer its 2007-2008 edition.

This priceless travel tool is designed for persons with restricted physical ability who want to enjoy pleasant, stimulating, and safe trips in Québec. The new guide has three outstanding new features. It introduces a new region, the Outaouais; it presents new accessible establishments and attractions; and it offers thematic get-aways1 carefully designed by Kéroul. These new features help to make the guide an even more indispensable resource for accessible tourism.

AccessiB - The Open Road, also vaunts the charms of five other Québec tourist regions: Montréal, Montérégie, the Eastern Townships, Chaudière-Appalaches, and Québec City. The infrastructures of all the tourist and cultural establishments featured in the guide are adapted and correspond to hospitality and accessibility criteria determined by Kéroul. Their personnel have also been schooled by Kéroul to welcome and serve the disabled and elderly in a manner specifically tailored to their special needs.

Mr. André Leclerc, CEO of Kéroul, expressed his satisfaction with the objectives set by AccessiB - The Open Road: "I am very pleased with the launch of this second edition of the guide. It will allow disabled travellers to enjoy the hospitality of accessible establishments whose owners have made the effort to adapt their infrastructures and train their personnel. Here's to a great tourist season for all you users of AccessiB-The Open Road!" he concluded.

Kéroul could not have produced this improved edition of AccessiB - The Open Road without the unwavering contribution of its partners: Canada Economic Development for Québec Regions; the ministère du Tourisme du Québec, Loto-Québec, the Office des personnes handicapées du Québec, the Office du tourisme de Québec, Parks Canada, Tourisme Montréal and Tourisme Chaudière-Appalaches

We invite you to consult the AccessiB section. There you will find the digital file of AccessiB - The Open Road for each region of the brochure, as well as a Word version of it.

1.For each of the regions, we have mapped out one-day theme trips. These trips allow you to spend one or more days exploring one of the six tourist regions presented in the guide. The visitor will thus get either a brief look or an overall view of this region’s tourist and cultural treasures.
