Charitable non-financial donations

Rather than donate cash, some companies prefer to offer their products or expertise. For example, a company may decide to offer its graphic design, translation or consulting services, or donate items (e.g. artworks, vacation packages) that can be sold during the silent auction held as part of Kéroul’s annual benefit gala. In-kind donations are considered charitable non-financial donations and may qualify for a tax receipt. (Please visit the Canada Revenue Agency [CRA] website for more information about charitable donations.)

Tax receipts

Kéroul is a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency. Under the law, February 28 is the deadline for issuing an official tax receipt for a donation made between January 1 and December 31 of the previous year.
