Montreal limited tourism accessibility, A video review

The website www.wheelchairtravelling.com has just released an 8 minute, 31 second video on a visit to Montreal last fall. This US organization was created in 2006 and works to empower people with limited mobility to access and experience the world of adventure and leisure travel. Among other actions, they publish reports of effective visits to a large number of well-known touristic cities around the world. In her report, the journalist Ashley Lyn Olson presents a positive image of the touristic and cultural side of the city: Montreal has a lot to offer, but not that much to people using wheelchairs. For me to return… people need to be able to get around and eat,” says the journalist. “It’s as simple as that!”  To view this important document on the deficient positioning of Montreal as an accessible city, click here:
