- The entrance to the funicular on rue du Petit-Champlain is from the side of the building. As the main entrance is at the top of a series of stairs, it is advisable for the attendant to go to the reception desk to signal the need to open the gate. Alternatively, a camera has been installed so that the operator can see when someone is waiting, but this method can generate a wait. If the person wants to open the gate from the inside to reach the street, he or she can press the red button to open the gate.

Additional information
- The top station has two floors. The floor at Dufferin Terrace level is just an entrance tan. The ticket office and funicular access are on the lower floor, which is reached by a platform lift. The exit from the platform lift is in a 1.3m x 1.3m alcove. It's not possible to use the platform lift without the person at the counter moving it up or down to the desired floor. This person must be notified to access this service.

Description
The Funiculaire du Vieux-Québec links the upper and lower parts of Quebec City. It's free for wheelchair users, but accompanying persons, if any, must pay the access fee. The entrance is partially accessible, as it requires the assistance of funicular staff. For further details, please refer to the sections on entrances in this fact sheet. Please note that four-wheelers are not allowed on the funicular. It's also important to know that you can only pay in cash. Finally, when entering the funicular, be sure to pay attention to the gap between the funicular and the boarding area.
