The trail consists of two sections. The first, located near the Héritage Visitor Center, is made of crushed rock and dirt. It features a few obstacles, including wooden bridges with thresholds up to 13 cm high, as well as exposed tree roots along the route. The second section connects the Visitor Center to the St. Lawrence River. The trail begins on a paved road shared with cars, then continues on a crushed stone surface. Several benches and a viewpoint overlooking a body of water are located along the route. This section includes crossing a railroad track, with rails approximately 6 cm high, as well as crossing Notre-Dame Street East.
